But few companies are recruiting specifically for data center skills. Instead, they’re retraining existing staff in VMware and other virtualization technologies. For instance, Aspen Skiing is considering virtualizing up to 40% of its servers in 2009, says Major. To achieve that, Aspen Skiing plans to rely on VMware and EMC to provide staff with the necessary training.“

Hmmm, Aspen isn’t too far away from me I wonder if they are looking for experienced VMware admins. I’m sure they pay well being the playground for the rich and famous but I could probably never afford to live there.
The Boston Market by our house just shut down (Apple Valley, MN). No idea if they went out of business or relocated. Just sayin.
I think all businesses are closing underperforming stores in these economic times (all our stores are corporate owned), we closed a bunch of ours a while back. McDonalds used to own us and part of the sale agreement was they get to keep a number of stores for the real estate so chances are it may become a McD soon. We’re currently owned by one of the biggest private capital firms in the US.
